Brendan's First Day of School

Brendan is officially a 3rd grader!

He really likes his teacher, Ms. Olmos.
He still likes going by to see his old teachers, Ms. Melton and Ms. Gutekunst.
He has a couple of friends in his class, Michael G. and Braden S.
We went to the first Central Chargers football game of the year. That will be the highschool Brendan will attend as long as we are still here. No plans on moving any time soon yet, ya never know with us though!

School Supplies and Meet the Teacher Night

What great memories the kids will have when they grow up and not remember the hard work it took.

The school has been very busy working on getting ready for next week. I am involved with the PTA again this year, I have taken on 3rd V.P which is Budget and Finance - it is fundraising. Part of that is school supplies; although the PTA doesn't make money off it. We do it for the simple convenience for the parents. Oh it is soo- nice not to have to go shopping for them! See how much fun we have sorting and getting them in the class rooms for the kiddos on meet the teacher night.

They came in on pallets as we unloaded and sorted as fast as we could!

Brendan had a really good time help the truck driver the most.


The other kids enjoyed helping as much too. They get to run the halls!

MEET THE TEACHER NIGHT!
We found out who was going to get Brendan... his teacher is Ms. Olmos.

This is who I work with Mili has her back to the camera and Sherry was trying to cover her face and Ms. Weeks the Nurse was laughing at them. They was all just taking a break before going home.

It was a busy night, everyone coming to see who their child got for the new school year!

Carter did great walking into the school today.

I thought for sure there may be a problem cause he had been saying that he didn't want to go to school. It was such a relief that he went in just fine and was actually glad to see everyone. The kids were very happy to see Carter that's for sure. Because about 5 or 6 yelled "Carter" when they saw him walk in the room. It was nice to hear that he had friends in there, I think it helped him hearing them. He said he had fun and was glad he went. So far as he went to bed tonight he was up for going back tomorrow, I will cross my fingers but not hold my breathe and hope he will be like that all year. :)

Dog days of summer

We are busy getting ready to start back to school, it starts the 25th here. Carter is going to start the 18th though. I go back on the 19th. I am hoping for a great year! Brendan in 3rd and Carter in Pre-K. Wow! They grow so fast!

In the mean time with the burst of cooler weather, we have been fishing a lot in the evenings.

Although we keep hooking the Turtles in the pond! What nasty little buggers they can be.

This happened to be the 2nd one we caught in 2 days. I caught one on bread and Gabe caught this one on a worm. There must be about 2 dozen in the pond. They come fast when we start throwing in that bright yellow neon bobber. We don't think they know what to think of it.

We had a big OOPS the other day and someone we won't name (Gabe) accidently dropped my camera in the pond.:( But the good news I got a new one and better! YEAH!

Of coarse, we had to take a few of the dogs! Wasabi wasn't quite sure of what to do. But isn't he just the cutiest thing!

The Camera has a really cool feature on it that it will take in Black & White. AWESOME!

Then the other was called bronze...I think it just makes the colors so much more vivid. My grass looks great in the picture! So much for it being brumuda though.

Fishing yesterday reminded me of how much carter loves fishing!

Who is walking who????

Brendan wanted to go for a walk and take JJ while he roller skated. I'd say Brendan was walked by JJ in the beginning and I walked JJ in the end! Brendan had to go ahead of us to get a bowl of water ready for JJ.

Fishing Anyone?

Afternoon fishing is a great way to get some R&R time in this heat.
Carter loves going and is always asking to go. Brendan loved going at this age too. He likes going every now and then but would much rather be riding his bike, roller skating, or skate boarding.

Pond has a lot of little blue gill and baby turtles in it.

If we was using shrimp there would have been snakes involved. The other day another family was there with shrimp. This snake kept hanging around and didn't seem to be scared of us. CRAZY!

It all started August 3, 2004 @ 12.40 a.m. weighing in at 7lbs 11oz and measuring 21 in long. What an exciting night it was and if you think it was cute then... look at him now!

HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY CARTER!

I am sorry, I forgot my camera at home and missed great pic ops. OOPS! Carter had a really good time at the pool with a few of his friends, and girlfriend Sky. I will get a pic of her such a cutie! Ice Cream cake and a giant cookie to-boot. What more fun could there be at 4? I think he had a great time.
