Carter so funny

Carter wanted me to read him a book earlier. I was watching american idol and said ok pause the DVR and told him to turn on the light. He couldn't reach so being kind of lazy I told him to use the book to push the light switch up. He thought that was cool. I read the book and he said goodnight and went to turn the light off. I watched as he tried repeatedly to use the book to push the switch down. As I just sat there and watched he turns around and say "" A little help here!" Gabe and I both busted out laughing. It was so funny and cute. I told him I would get it and followed him up to tuck him in for the night.

Oh the parties and candy galore...
Brendan's Class Party took part with their reading buddies. A first grade class and they did it in the front courtyard of the school. Madhatter tea party from Alice in Wonderland was the theme. The room mom worked really hard and did a great job. It looked like the kids had a lot of fun and was the talk of the school...

Dallas World Aquarium

Brendan's grade took a field trip to the world aquarium. It was really neat to see I had heard some not so good things about but I really enjoyed it. I look forward to going back over the summer.
These are giant river otters and are extinct


Oh yeah snakes and not just any old snakes Anacondas. There was 3 in this tank. I must say not very big yet but we know how big they can and will get. Pictures didn't come out real good here was trying to hurry for the kids they didn't think the anacondas were as cool as I did.

Brendan really liked seeing the manitee and sea turtle






This fish had a neat looking head


The jelly fish were cool looking


They even had penguins


Then we were on our way to the sharkes they had this cool tunnel to walk through. I have seen at others. But it is always neat with the kids.




Do you feel like it is something out of a Jaws movie?


This was when we made out way back up to the exit we could look down in the pond with the sharks.



The last animal on our way our was the Jaguar it even rolled over on it back very pretty animal the kids did like watching it a lot.


Then on to the gift shop oh boy!

February

The boys started swim lesson. Well Carter this is his first but Brendan did them last month too.

They have this play pin thing in the water for the kids and he played while he waited his turn with the coach.


His turn with the coach, Look at him go he was having so much fun.


All done and waiting for brother to finish his lessons. Being all cool about it too.


Here he is in his new swim suit. The boys wanted to have the swim shirts this year. But Brendan says it keeps him warmer when he gets out. He's not as cold.

Brendan is the one with the dark googles and blue shirt on in the water.
